\ud83d\udccc Update, 18 September 2026:<\/strong> Digital Chat Station has detailed the prototype: a 1.72-inch rear screen<\/strong>, a flat 6.57-inch 1.5K<\/strong> main display with even bezels on all four sides, and a 200 MP camera<\/strong>. He still does not name the device, but everything points to the Honor 700 Pro<\/a>, which now has its own article: a rear screen looks unlikely on the standard model. The series should include two or three models, possibly with an Honor 700 Lite.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Honor has just launched its Robot Phone<\/strong> in China and will unveil its flagship line, the Honor Magic 9<\/a>, on 28 September. But the manufacturer is not stopping there: several other devices are said to be in the works, and recent Weibo posts by tipster Digital Chat Station<\/em> give an idea of what is coming.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The most intriguing of the lot: a phone that would carry a secondary screen on its back<\/strong>. An idea that resurfaces periodically in the industry, and that Honor seems to be taking seriously this time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What the leak says \u2014 and what it does not<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Before the details, one clarification that changes how this whole page should be read. Digital Chat Station did not name the device.<\/strong> What he describes is a project<\/em>: Honor is evaluating a native rear-display design for a slim, camera-focused phone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Linking it to the Honor 700 series is a deduction<\/strong>, not a piece of information: it is simply the range whose timing and positioning fit best. Entirely plausible, but still to be confirmed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On 17 September, the tipster came back to this project, which he describes as an \u201cengineering prototype from the numbered range\u201d. He gives three specifications: a flat 6.57-inch main display<\/strong> with 1.5K resolution and ultra-thin, even bezels on all four sides, a 1.72-inch rear screen<\/strong> and a 200 MP camera<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He still does not name the device, but this profile points rather to the top of the upcoming range, the Honor 700 Pro<\/a>. The series should include at least two models, the Honor 700 and the Honor 700 Pro, and possibly a third, an Honor 700 Lite, as the 600 generation did with the Honor 600 Lite. A rear screen is hard to imagine across the whole range: the standard Honor 700 would most likely go without it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One thing, on the other hand, is stated without ambiguity: the flagship line will not adopt this design<\/strong>. The Magic 9 and its variants keep a conventional architecture. The rear screen, if it ships, belongs to the numbered range.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A 1.72-inch second screen: what it is actually for<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The secondary display would measure 1.72 inches<\/strong> and sit directly in the rear glass panel, next to the camera module. Two uses justify it, and the first is by far the more convincing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
