Honor 700: three models expected in November, a rear screen for the Pro?

📌 Update, 3 November 2026: Expected this month in China, the Honor 700 series has just been certified in three 5G models (FAA-AN00, FAP-AN00, FAS-AN00): the Honor 700 Vitality Edition, Honor 700 and Honor 700 Pro, each supplied with an 80W wired charger (20V/4A). All three would share a 9,000 mAh battery, a 200 MP main sensor and four colourways (fresh white, sky blue, azure, misty pink). The Honor 700 and 700 Pro would retain the flat 6.57-inch 1.5K OLED display, the 1.72-inch rear screen and compatibility with a 200 mm teleconverter, with the Pro adding a 50 MP periscope and 50W wireless charging (including reverse).

Honor recently launched its Robot Phone in China and unveiled its flagship line, the Honor Magic 9, on 28 September. But the manufacturer is not stopping there: several other devices are said to be in the works, and recent leaks posted on Weibo give an idea of what is coming.

The most intriguing of the lot: a phone that would carry a secondary screen on its back. An idea that resurfaces periodically in the industry, and that Honor seems to be taking seriously this time.

What the leak says — and what it does not

Before the details, one clarification that changes how this whole page should be read. While the initial leaks did not name the device, the latest ones now explicitly identify the Honor 700 series (under the internal codename “Flora”), and more specifically the Honor 700 and Honor 700 Pro. What he describes is a project: Honor is evaluating a native rear-display design for a slim, camera-focused phone.

Linking it to the Honor 700 series is no longer a mere deduction: the new leaks directly mention this range as well as its internal codename, “Flora”. Even though an official certification in China now confirms the existence of the three 5G models in the series and their 80W wired charging, the exact launch date and the rest of the spec sheet still need to be made official by Honor.

In October, new leaks further detailed this “engineering prototype”, now tied to the Honor 700 series. Several specifications now stand out: a flat 6.57-inch main display with 1.5K resolution and ultra-thin, even bezels on all four sides, a native 1.72-inch rear screen (which avoids the clip-on magnetic mini-screen of the Honor 600 series), a triple camera setup led by a 200 MP sensor, as well as a battery of around 9,000 mAh (400 mAh more than the Chinese Honor 600 Super).

The Honor 700 and Honor 700 Pro would share a Snapdragon chip, a dual Live Photo feature (front and rear) and support for a 200 mm teleconverter, while the entire range would benefit from a battery of around 9,000 mAh and a now-certified 80W wired charger (20V and 4A), with the Pro model potentially adding 50W wireless charging as well as reverse wireless charging. The Honor 700 series does indeed comprise three now-certified 5G models (model numbers FAA-AN00, FAP-AN00 and FAS-AN00) — the Honor 700 Vitality Edition, Honor 700 and Honor 700 Pro — with the Vitality Edition taking on the entry-level role held in the previous generation by the Honor 600 Lite; all three could come in four shared colourways (fresh white, sky blue, azure and misty pink). While all three variants would pack a 200 MP main sensor, the 1.72-inch rear screen would feature on the Honor 700 and Honor 700 Pro, whereas the 50 MP periscope telephoto lens would be reserved for the Honor 700 Pro alone.

One thing, on the other hand, is stated without ambiguity: the flagship line will not adopt this design. The Magic 9 and its variants keep a conventional architecture. The rear screen, if it ships, belongs to the numbered range.

A 1.72-inch second screen: what it is actually for

The secondary display would measure 1.72 inches and sit directly in the rear glass panel, next to the camera module. Two uses justify it, and the first is by far the more convincing.

• Filming yourself with the good sensors. On any smartphone, the front camera lags well behind the rear ones. A screen on the back lets you frame yourself while shooting with the main camera: for a proper selfie, a vlog or a portrait, the quality gap is considerable.
• Glancing without flipping the phone over. The time, an incoming message, the battery level — without waking the large panel, and therefore without the power draw that comes with it.

This direction would be reserved for a slim chassis, designed for everyday photography rather than for the spec sheet. That fits the place Honor’s numbered range occupies: well-made devices, pleasant to hold, that bet on everyday use rather than on one-upmanship.

Release date: what the range’s rhythm suggests

No date has been communicated. But Honor’s numbered range follows a remarkably regular cadence: the Honor 300 and 300 Pro were made official on 3 December 2024, and the Honor 500’s unveiling was set for 24 November 2025.

Two years running, the same window: late November, early December. While the brand has not communicated an exact date yet, the certification of the three models brings the release closer and points to an official launch as early as this month, November 2026.

Honor 700 price: what to expect

Nothing has leaked, and nothing will before the announcement. The range does give a solid order of magnitude, though: at its Chinese launch, the Honor 300 started at 2,299 yuan — around €290 — with its 12 GB version at 2,499 yuan (around €320). The Honor 300 Pro came in at 3,399 yuan, around €430.

That is the real appeal of this range, and what sets it apart from the Magic series: we are talking €300 to €450 in China, while the brand’s flagship tier sits at roughly double. An extra rear screen would add a few tens of euros, without changing the category.

Two standing caveats: a Chinese price never transposes as-is to Europe, and not every model in a range makes the trip. We will refresh this section as soon as it is official.

The rest of Honor’s roadmap

Other leaks have delivered three more items, at very different stages of maturity.

A 12,000 mAh battery in trial production. The figures are precise: a rated capacity of 11,790 mAh for a rated energy of 43.86 Wh, which corresponds to a typical capacity of around 12,000 mAh. No device is named, but the suggestion is the Honor Power 3, expected by early 2027 with the next-generation 3 nm Dimensity 8600. For scale: that is one and a half times the battery of a 2026 flagship, already considered generous at 8,000 mAh.

A wide foldable under study. Careful with this one: the project has not entered formal development yet. Honor would be looking at a foldable with a wider screen than the two devices of the kind already on the market, which top out between 6.3 and 6.4 inches. Earlier reports mention a 20-megapixel main camera, a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 chip and a 7,000 mAh battery. Treat it as a lead, not a product.

The Win 2 series did indeed speed up. These gaming-focused smartphones with a built-in fan (Win 2, Win RT2 and Win Turbo2) were unveiled in China as early as 21 October, sooner than expected.

Honor 700 expected specifications

The known specifications now combine an official Chinese certification and leaks around the Honor 700 series (codenamed “Flora”), comprising the Honor 700 Vitality Edition, Honor 700 and Honor 700 Pro. We will fill it in as the leaks come.

Honor 700 or Honor Magic 9: how do they compare?

The catalogue’s segmentation stays very readable, and the two ranges do not target the same buyer.

• Honor Magic 9 series: the technology showcase. A 2 nm chip, a video partnership with ARRI, a dual 200 MP camera, 3D face recognition. This is where the brand puts everything it knows how to do, at the corresponding price.
• Honor 700 series: the numbered range, built around design, slimness and a usability idea — here, the built-in rear screen and compatibility with a 200 mm teleconverter on the Honor 700 and 700 Pro. Less one-upmanship, a markedly more accessible price.

In other words: the Magic 9 is for whoever wants the best sensor on the market, the 700 for whoever wants a good-looking phone that films well, without paying flagship money.

In summary

The Honor 700 shapes up as an original proposition for late 2026: a slim format, a Snapdragon chip and an unapologetic camera focus — all the way to a 200 mm teleconverter — within a range equipped with a small 1.72-inch screen on the back, enough to make the difference for anyone who films themselves often. With one reservation to keep in mind until Honor makes anything official: while an official certification now confirms the three 5G models and their 80W wired charging, the rest of the spec sheet is still based on an engineering prototype and recent leaks that may evolve before release.
