The Xiaomi 18 Pro and Xiaomi 18 Pro Max are said to be getting a full-scale unveiling around 28 and 29 September 2026. The month itself is now official: on 15 September Xiaomi confirmed a September launch for the series, without giving a day. That slot falls immediately in the wake of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Summit, where the new processor will be revealed. The standard Xiaomi 18, by contrast, is not expected to surface until December 2026 — an unusual three-month gap.

What does that trade-off actually mean for you? Rear screen: Xiaomi puts it in the spotlight ahead of launch

On 15 September Xiaomi chose to open the curtain on the Xiaomi 18 Pro series with that rear screen. The teaser posted on Weibo shows it lit, with “生成中…” — “generating” — in the middle.
