Vivo X500 FE: a fifth model joins the X500 range

The X500 FE, still without a release date, is accumulating new certifications in Singapore (IMDA, model V2653 confirming 5G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and NFC), Indonesia (TKDN, SDPPI) and Turkey (V2653 and V2654). A spec sheet spotted in parallel mentions a 6.31-inch LTPO AMOLED display (2640 × 1216, 120 Hz), a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 (12/256 GB), 6,500 mAh (90 W wired, 40 W wireless, 5 W reverse charging), three 50+50+8 MP sensors (50 MP selfie), 7.99 mm and 191 g, an ultrasonic fingerprint reader, Bluetooth 6.0 and infrared. Caution: not officially confirmed by Vivo, this spec sheet reproduces the X300 FE already on sale line for line and could simply be a copy.

While the Vivo X500 series has already made its debut in China, is beginning its rollout in Europe and is set to reach India by the end of November, Vivo’s ecosystem continues to expand behind the scenes. Beyond the main flagships now on sale, a fifth member is completing a growing number of administrative steps ahead of an international release.

The confirmation comes from the GSMA, which lists a Vivo X500 FE under two distinct model numbers: V2653 and V2654. That kind of pairing usually corresponds to network band variations between regions. After first passing through the Eurasian Economic Commission, the V2653 has since obtained IMDA certification in Singapore (under registration number SER/26/0337, certifying 5G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and NFC) as well as TKDN and SDPPI approvals in Indonesia, while official records in Turkey confirm that the V2653 and V2654 references both belong to the X500 FE.

What these filings really say — and what they do not

A device does not turn up in the GSMA’s IMEI database by accident. Registration there is the mandatory step before any commercial release, and it signals that a model exists in a shippable form rather than only on an engineer’s drawing.

One clarification is worth making, because the mistake travels widely: EEC here stands for the Eurasian Economic Commission — the customs union of Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Armenia and Kyrgyzstan. It is not a European authorisation, and a certification obtained there tells you nothing about availability in the European Union. What it does tell you is useful all the same: an export variant is genuinely being prepared, as opposed to the models that stay inside the Chinese market.

The stronger signal sits next door. The entire range is now filed in global versions — the ones we stock, carrying the frequency bands and the services expected outside China:

Seeing the whole range filed in global form confirms what our own experience already tells us: these devices exist in a version built to leave China, and they do reach us. We sold the X200 FE, we stock the X300 FE; there is little reason for the X500 FE to be the exception. As the Vivo X500 range has already been launched in China, has begun its European rollout and is expected in India by the end of November 2026, these global versions now fit into a concrete commercial schedule.

What the “FE” badge has meant at Vivo so far

The arrival of a fifth model raises a fair question: where will it sit on the brand’s board?

Two generations let us answer, and we have had both in hand: we stock the Vivo X300 FE just as we stocked the Vivo X200 FE before it. The family resemblance is hard to miss:

• A compact format held from one generation to the next: 6.31 inches on both, at 186 then 191 grams. At a time when flagships sail past 6.7 inches, that is the promise of a phone that still slips into a pocket and works in one hand.
• A battery that does not pay for that compactness: 6,500 mAh on both generations, where you would expect a cell trimmed down to fit a narrower chassis.
• A flagship chip, with no loyalty to one foundry: Dimensity 9300+ on the X200 FE, Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 on the X300 FE. Vivo switches silicon between generations, so the X500 FE may well surprise on that front.

The FE is not a cut-price model, then: it is the compact of the range, the one that refuses to trade endurance for bulk. Whether the X500 FE holds that line remains to be seen — Vivo has yet to make anything official on that point, beyond the connectivity validated by certification authorities and an unconfirmed spec sheet circulating in parallel.

Expected Vivo X500 FE specifications

Let us be perfectly clear: only wireless connectivity features — 5G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and NFC — have been officially attested to date by the device’s Singaporean certification, which reveals no other hardware component. Neither the display size, nor the chipset, nor the battery capacity, nor the camera setup has yet been officially confirmed by Vivo.

Some caution is in order regarding the full spec sheet now circulating, which lists a 6.31-inch LTPO AMOLED display (1216 × 2640 pixels at 120 Hz), a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chip paired with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage, a 6,500 mAh battery (90 W wired, 40 W wireless and 5 W reverse charging), a triple rear camera setup comprising a 50 MP main sensor (Sony IMX921 with OIS), a 50 MP periscope telephoto camera (Sony IMX882 with OIS) and an 8 MP ultra-wide lens, a 50 MP front camera shooting 4K video at 60 fps, an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint reader, Bluetooth 6.0, NFC and an infrared blaster, all in a chassis around 7.99 mm thick weighing 191 grams. Those numbers did not come from nowhere: they reproduce, line for line, those of the Vivo X300 FE already on sale and in our catalogue — same 6.31-inch LTPO AMOLED display at 2640 × 1216 and 120 Hz, same Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, same 6,500 mAh battery with 90 W wired and 40 W wireless charging, same Sony IMX921 and IMX882 sensors, same weight of 191 grams. A previous-generation template auto-filled under an “X500 FE” label. It may therefore simply be the X300 FE spec sheet copied over under the X500 FE name: in no way made official by Vivo and absent from the certification filings, these figures should be treated with great caution.

Vivo X500 FE price and availability

Vivo has announced no price for the newcomer. The best reference point remains the X300 FE, whose listing is up to date in our shop: it is the most honest comparison available while nothing has leaked.

Release date: the range is taking shape, the FE has no calendar

With the Vivo X500 series already launched in China, rolling out in Europe and expected in India by the end of November 2026, the international schedule for the main line-up is now well under way. Vivo has disclosed no release date for the X500 FE in these new filings, however, even if the accumulation of certifications in Singapore, Indonesia and Turkey shows that its international availability is drawing closer.

The two previous FE generations sketch a likely profile, that of a compact around 6.3 inches which does not trade battery life for size; Vivo has promised nothing of the sort for this one.
