Oppo Find X10E: Oppo adds an entry-level model to the Find X10 range

Oppo has listed it on its pre-reservation page alongside the Find X10 and the Find X10 Pro Max, with its first official images: a square camera module with three lenses, two colours — Ice Blue and Light Titanium — and two configurations, 12 GB + 256 GB and 16 GB + 512 GB. The unveiling is set for 22 September in China. Its chip and the rest of its specifications have not been detailed yet.

At Oppo, the Find series has always stood as an uncompromising technology showcase, reserved for first-rate configurations. As the range’s unveiling drew near, the brand even seemed to have closed ranks: its first official poster, released on 7 September, mentions only two devices, the Find X10 and the Find X10 Pro Max. Gone is the Find X10 Pro, which appears to have been dropped along the way, while our article on the Find X10 Ultra already noted that the ultimate version was not expected before the first half of 2027. And yet the company’s plans hold a late twist.

On 31 August 2026, tipster Smart Pikachu revealed that the autumn line-up would in fact be built around three models, introducing a brand-new Oppo Find X10E. That is an entirely new move for the Find family, which had never offered an entry-level variant until now. Alongside that sourced claim, a detailed spec sheet is now circulating on Weibo with no attribution whatsoever; these unofficial details call for caution, but they sketch a decidedly unusual technical profile.

A 50 MP main camera and a 200 MP periscope: priorities turned upside down

The most striking detail in that unattributed sheet concerns the rear camera array directly. Where industrial logic usually pushes manufacturers to sacrifice the telephoto in order to squeeze manufacturing costs on an entry-level model, the Find X10E would do exactly the opposite.

The phone would keep an impressive 200-megapixel periscope telephoto (offering 3x optical zoom), while dropping to a 50-megapixel main wide camera, the Sony LYT-828. Worth stating up front: that Sony sensor really is a 50 MP part, not 200 MP as some muddled rumours have suggested. The third eye would be a 50-megapixel ultra-wide.

It is a surprising hierarchy: a 200 MP periscope lens, with its set of folded prisms, costs considerably more to produce and calibrate than a conventional wide-angle module. Seeing an entry model cut back on its main camera while keeping such an extravagance on the long end is a fascinating technical anomaly for the category.

Oppo has since released official images of the Find X10E. Its back uses a square camera module with rounded corners, set in the top-left corner: two lenses on top, a third at bottom left and the flash at bottom right. Unlike the Find X10 and the Pro Max, nothing extends that square to the right. The front keeps the flat display with slim bezels, its selfie camera in a centred punch-hole.

X10E versus the standard Find X10: an almost perfect twin, camera aside

To size up what this device really is, the comparison with the regular Find X10 is the place to start. As we explained in our article on the Find X10, the standard version is now solidly documented: the same 6.59-inch flat 1.5K display, the same massive 8,000 mAh battery, and identical charging figures at 80 W wired and 50 W wireless.

Three major differences would separate the X10E from its bigger sibling:

• The refresh rate: the panel would top out at 144 Hz on the X10E, against 165 Hz on the standard model.
• The main camera: a 50 MP module (Sony LYT-828) instead of the 200 MP sensor chosen for the standard Find X10.
• The processor: the standard X10 relies on the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 (the foundry’s current high-end chip, spotted on Geekbench), while the X10E would take a variant called the Dimensity 9500s.

Built on 3 nm, this Dimensity 9500s would deliver raw performance on a par with last year’s Find X9. It is the previous phone that serves as the yardstick here, not the age of the chip. The X10E would therefore land as the same phone as the Find X10, with a more measured main camera and a slightly calmer processor — a long way from the excess reserved for the flagship detailed in our article on the Find X10 Pro Max.

Tianma N1 panel and bypass charging

The display would rest on a 6.59-inch flat OLED panel built on a Tianma N1 substrate at 1.5K resolution, peaking at 4,500 nits. Thanks to LTPO technology, the screen would vary its scanning rate dynamically up to 144 Hz depending on what is on screen, preserving battery life on static images while delivering instant smoothness as soon as you scroll.

The second hardware asset would be its 8,000 mAh battery with bypass charging. In practical terms, during a gaming session with the cable plugged in, the charger feeds the internal components directly without routing the current through the cell. The benefit for the user is twofold: the phone runs considerably cooler in the hand, and the battery is spared premature wear cycles.

No price has leaked for this variant so far. The wider economy weighs heavily on the equation: the surge in the cost of RAM and Flash storage components is squeezing the entire mobile market as 2026 draws to a close, pushing price lists upward across the board.

As the entry point to the family, the X10E will necessarily have to sit below the base Find X10. Whether the brand can keep a meaningful gap while fitting a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto that expensive is another question entirely.

The configuration grid, however, is official, and it confirms that positioning: the Find X10E will only come in 12 GB + 256 GB and 16 GB + 512 GB, where the Find X10 and the Pro Max go up to 16 GB + 1 TB. Just two colours, Ice Blue and Light Titanium, against three on the higher models.

Unveiling on 22 September in China, with an uncertain international release

The doubt we raised here has been lifted. The official poster of 7 September named only the Find X10 and the Find X10 Pro Max, and the existence of the X10E rested on a single source. On 14 September, Oppo listed it on its pre-reservation page, with its images, colours and configurations: the entry model of the Find series is now official. The Find X10 Pro, for its part, is still not there.

The unveiling on 22 September 2026 will deliver its full spec sheet, chip included. Its availability beyond Chinese borders, however, remains a complete unknown. The industry has taught us to expect manufacturers to keep their entry-level variants for the domestic market, exporting only their most emblematic flagships.

Conclusion

The Find X10E would pose an unusual equation: the 200 MP periscope of a flagship, a main sensor brought down to 50 MP, and the rest of the standard Find X10 almost untouched. Oppo has lifted the first caveat by listing it officially in the range. The second remains, and it weighs heavily: a release outside China is in no way settled.
